With four-championship quality golf courses designed by some of the biggest names in the sport, Barefoot Resort is one of the finest destinations that anyone could choose for their Myrtle Beach golf vacation. This Grand Strand jewel showcases the unique coastal landscape among the area courses and offers first-class accommodations within the multiple neighborhoods of the resort. From modern two or three bedroom golf course condos to deluxe four bedroom villas on the waterway at the Yacht Club and North Tower, a Myrtle Beach golf vacation at Barefoot Resort is sure to meet and surpass your golf group's expectations!

While each of the four courses of Barefoot Resort offer up world-class layouts that will both challenge and delight golfers, the architects included unique flourishes that ensure each course has a personality entirely its own. Course design of the Barefoot Resort courses was headed by a who's who of golf titans: Greg Norman, Davis Love III, Tom Fazio and Pete Dye. When these are the minds behind the courses on your Myrtle Beach golf trip, you know you're in for a treat!

The Norman course at Barefoot is well-known for its layout featuring several holes running along the edge of the Intracoastal Waterway. In addition to capitalizing on the coastal Carolina landscape, Greg Norman gave the course a southwest-style layout featuring wide open spaces that invite aggressive play. Approach shots will often leave golfers weighing risk and reward while moderately sloped greens provide a firm but fair challenge to finish up each hole.

Recognized by Golf Digest as the top Myrtle Beach golf course in 2005, the Love course plays heavily off the lowcountry landscape with many holes lined by coastal grasses and pines. Generally open fairways and forgiving landing areas provide golfers of all skill levels with an enjoyable experience, while elevation changes come into play to challenge your quest for pars or better. Holes 3 through 7 are well-known for their location wrapping around the recreated ruins of an antebellum plantation, with brick pillars and foundation walls draped in vines.

The Fazio course borrowed from classic European courses for a unique design that is one-of-a-kind among other Grand Strand golf courses. Over 100 bunkers and strategic usage of pampas grass demands discipline from the back tees, but intermediate level golfers will find the course playable from the front two tee boxes. Your shotmaking abilities will also be tested by an abundance of water, with all par-3's requiring at least a partial carry over water.

Finally, the Dye course is a semi-private facility featuring its own clubhouse and practice area. Typically regarded as the toughest of the Barefoot Resort courses, From the tips the Dye course measures in at 7,343 yards, challenging skilled players but still offering playability from the front tee areas. Greens test golfers' nerves with elevation changes that will require an accurate touch with your putter. Well over 100 sand and waste bunkers dot the course ranging from tricky pot bunkers to extremely large natural sand areas. While challenging, the Dye course is a true work of golf design art and the 18th hole provides a memorable finish, wrapping around a beautiful lake towards the clubhouse.

With such an impressive lineup of world-class golf courses, Barefoot Resort is a perfect place to plan a Myrtle Beach golf vacation!
